This is the third volume of a trilogy exploring the many fascinating styles of station to be found on the world-famous London Underground network. It covers all the ­stations on three of the real ‘tube’ lines — the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria Lines — all of which run in deep-level tubes beneath central London, though the Northern and Piccadilly Lines continue mostly on the surface on outer sections. These lines boast typical tube stations from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, suburban railway stations from the 1920s and 1930s, but also some modern underground stations. London-based author Andrew Phipps presents every station with a short description and various recent colour photographs.
