This is the second volume of a trilogy exploring the many fascinating styles of station to be found on the world-famous London Underground network. It covers all the stations on four of the real ‘tube’ lines — the Central, Waterloo & City, Bakerloo and Jubilee Lines — all of which run in deep-level tubes beneath central London, though mostly on the surface on outer sections. These lines boast typical tube stations from the early 20th century, suburban railway stations from the 1920s and 1930s, but also
modern underground stations from the 1990s. London-based author Andrew Phipps presents every station with a short description and various recent colour photographs.
